Day 45: Basel to Waldshut Tiengen
Distance: 38 miles
Cool sights, shopping on the Germany side for cheap, long lunch at a park, and lots of rain to close out the day.
The riding was much more hilly than we are used to. Nothing too crazy, but small up and downs that are tough when fully loaded and carrying kids.
The views today were amazing, the Rhine is beautiful. More hills, a bit more traffic, but very good.
It was raining when we got to camp and we had to set up camp in the rain. The tent floor got wet but we were able to get it dried off by bedtime.
We didn’t have dinner made until 10:30, and it was still raining heavy so we had dinner in our vestibule. Lots of emotions tonight, though kids cheered up after their showers.
